Circulating Books

Use the subject search in TrinCat to search for books in Rolfing Library, in I-Share to search for books in 76 Illinois academic libraries for books not in Rolfing.  Begin with some basic keyword searches (any word, anywhere), using natural language combining a few terms that relate to your topic.  Searching the subject field in TrinCat and I-Share requires the use of  specialized terms referred to as Library of Congress Subject Headings.  See below for a few examples.

Journals

Journals can be an excellent source of current and specific information on an issue in psychology. Some journals cover very broad issues while others are relatively narrow in scope. If you are trying to select a topic for research, or if you'd just like to browse current literature, consider leafing through the print psychology journals many of which are also available online through Rolfing Library.
