Adjunct Law Professors

 

Alan L. Armstrong
JD, Western State University, College of Law, 1984
BA, University of California at Riverside, 1967

Professor Armstrong is a sole practitioner with a practice emphasizing estate planning, real estate and business law. Active in community and church associations, he annually offers his legal services to those in need via pro bono opportunities with the Orange County Bar Association and the Orange County Public Law Center. Professor Armstrong teaches Wills, Trusts and Estates.

 

 

Dana C. Clark

Professor Clark is a senior trial attorney with the Law Offices, Richard J. Wianecki, Managing Attorney, who are in-house counsel for Safeco Insurance Company. He is involved in the defense of civil actions, including areas of general negligence, construction, contract, products liability, defamation, business torts, and inter alia. He is AV Rated by Martindale Hubbell and serves as a mediator, arbitrator, and Judge Pro Tem through the Orange County Superior Court. He taught courses as an adjunct professor at Western State University, College of Law in Torts, Remedies and Products Liability. At Trinity he teaches Torts, Professional Responsibility and Ethics in the Profession.

 Carrie Goulding

Professor Goulding has managed her own practice, specializing in writs and appeals.  She has also been a volunteer panel attorney with the Central California Appellate Project.  Her teaching experience has included adjunct faculty positions in the Chapman University Department of English and Irvine Valley College Department of English.  Professor Goudling teaches Legal Research and Writing I and II.

 

Sara Hakami

Professor Hakami was an associate with the firm Tharpe & Howell where she practiced general civil litigation with an emphasis on insurance defense and premises liability. Professor Hakami is currently a legal consultant for Kayson International and performs independent contract work for various firms in Orange County. She currently teaches the academic support class which focuses on writing skills.

 

 

James L. Hirsen

Professor Hirsen is Vice President and General Counsel for SBD Group, Inc. and Mitsui RES Syndications, a multi-national corporation where he directs international business transactions and litigation for both inside and outside counsel. He has over eighteen years of experience in international business transaction law and negotiation. Author of more than thirty articles on legal and public policy issues, Professor Hirsen is a frequent lecturer for county bar associations. He is a member of the American Society of International Law, and the editorial board for The Federalist Digest. He teaches Torts and Public International Law.

 

 

Kevin P. Holsclaw

Professor Holsclaw served as Interim Academic Dean for TLS, as Acting Assistant Attorney General for Legislation in the United States Department of Justice, and as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the California Department of Justice. He was responsible for the development of criminal justice policy for the California Attorney General. Professor Holsclaw has participated as a member of the Megan's Law Task Force, the U.S.-Mexico Border Task Force, and the National Association of Attorneys General Task Force Concerning the Victim's Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. He is a recipient of an Outstanding Achievement Award from Victims, Families and Survivors of the Oklahoma City Bombing, and the Randolph Award, the highest award given by the United States Department of Justice. Professor Holsclaw also served as Legislative Counsel to Congressman Dan Lungren. He teaches Legal Writing and Constitutional Law.
