The Christian Ministry major is designed for individuals who are currently involved in some form of vocational or volunteer Christian ministry. The degree is beneficial for the working pastor and to anyone who desires to serve Jesus Christ and others more effectively in the church, in missions, in Christian organizations, or in the community.
Christian Ministry students work with dedicated faculty, examining the following critical areas for ministry:
- Biblical foundation - a broad grasp of God's revelation as recorded in Scripture and its doctrinal and practical implications
- Theological foundation - understanding of various theories and principles that relate to the practice of Christian ministry
- Issue analysis - awareness of key issues and approaches related to the tasks of Christian ministry as well as the ability to develop a critically reflective stand informed by accurate interpretation and application of Scripture
- Christian ministry intervention - ability to analyze situations, diagnose problems, and design effective interventions that are biblically grounded, culturally contextualized, interpersonally sensitive, and fundamentally ethical.

General Education Requirements
All students completed a Bachelor's degree with the university are required to complete a minimum number of credits, 126 semester hours to be exact. Included in the 126 semester hours, each person must have completed all general education requirements (i.e., college composition, humanities, psychology, etc.). Specifics on required general college education may be obtained here.
