Available Aid for PhD Students

Trinity  has many ways to offer financial assistance to a large range of students including leadership awards, church match grants, endowed scholarships, student loans and on-campus employment.

All scholarship opportunities are designed specifically for Divinity School students pursuing a PhD degree on the Deerfield campus.

Students who are enrolled part-time (paying for less than 9 hrs.) are eligible to receive institutional aid on a pro-rated basis.

Visiting and special students are not eligible for financial aid. Students taking classes at an extension site or through the Distance Education Office are not eligible for institutional aid.  If enrolled in a degree program and considered half-time by the Records Office, students may qualify for Stafford loans.

NOTE: Trinity institutional aid (that is money provided by Trinity) will not be allowed to exceed the cost of tuition and fees in a given academic year.
