Certificate of Finances Estimated Expenses 2008-2009

Using the below information, please calculate how much money you will need to study in your program of choice and successfully complete the Certificate of Finance (COF) form.  As you know, the U.S. Immigration regulations require that all international students give proof of financial viability before an I-20 can be issued.  It is important for you to understand that all funds listed on the COF form must be available when you arrive at Trinity.  

Tuition for Master's students per academic year based on 12-15 credit hours per semester: $14,200
Add $1,250 for books and fees per year.

Tuition for Academic Doctoral Students per academic year based on 12 credit hours per semester: $15,120
Add $1,320 for books and fees per year.

Tuition for Residential Professional Doctoral Program (DMin) per academic year
based on 9 credit hours per semester: $7,830           Add $785 for books and fees per year.

Estimated Living Expenses Per Year (12 months):

Single Student living on campus, including meal plan:

Living expenses for couple:

$21,000

Living expenses for couple with child:

$25,560

Living expenses for couple with two children:

$27,360

Yearly expense for each additional child:

$3,300

All International Students must have health insurance. There are no exceptions! The cost per year is:

Single under 25 years of age:

     Single over 25 years of age:

Spouse under 25 years of age:

$1,980.00

     Spouse over 25 year of age:

$2,615.00

Each child:

$1,650.00

  

Other additional expenses may include the purchase of a used car approximately $7,500.00
Only limited public transportation is available to and from Trinity.

When do I have to pay for tuition and other charges?

  1. Tuition payments are due on or before the day of registration.
  2. Health Insurance is required for all international students and payment is also due at registration.
  3. The payment of your rent is due at the first day of each month. There is a one-time security deposit equal to one-month rent required when you take possession of the apartment.
