Our History

Trinity began more than one hundred years ago as the Bible Institute of the Swedish Evangelical Free Church of America. In the 1940s, the Bible Institute merged with Trinity Seminary and Bible Institute to become Trinity Seminary and Bible College, located in downtown Chicago. During the 1960s, the seminary and college moved to its present location in the North Shore suburbs. In 1995, the two schools combined to form Trinity International University. Two years later, the university expanded to include Trinity Graduate School and Trinity Law School.
