Trinity College

    Student Ministries Outreach Programs

    Mission Statement

Developing students in their unique callings to make a strategic impact on their campus, in their communities and around the world.

    Acts 1:8
As followers of Christ in today's world, Trinity applies Christ's words in Acts 1:8 as a commission for all believers, expanding on this verse as a model of impact on our campus, communities, and around the world.

    Two Major Ministry Objectives

With the intent of fulfilling the above commission we have established two major ministry objectives.

    1st Objective: Develop

We exist to develop students in a growing relationship with God. We do this through a discipleship program, chapel speakers, and conferences that we host throughout the year in order to form students to realize their unique calling in the body of Christ.

    2nd Objective: Impact

We also exist to impact our immediate campus, surrounding community and the world through strategic outreaches and cross-cultural ministry experiences that challenge students to become World Christians who are purposely committed to the Great Commission.

    Outreach Teams

To develop student leadership and servanthood, Student Ministries supports several student-led outreach teams that challenge students to make an impact on campus, in the community and in the world:

A student cabinet of ministry leaders, along with Student Ministries staff, gives oversight to these ministry teams. A special chapel in the fall is devoted to the presentation of the various ministry opportunities that are available. Students who participate with Outreach Ministries may be eligible to receive Service Learning credit.

    Graduation Requirements

As a component of the core curriculum, students are required to complete 3 semesters of Service Learning. Service Learning is a graduation requirement for all undergraduate students. In order to receive credit for a service learning experience, all forms must be completed and submitted to the Student Ministries office (Planning Sheet, Reflection Form, and Supervisor Form). At least one service learning experience is required to be off-campus and on-campus credits can not be repeated.

    Short-term Mission Trips

Students can participate in several week-long mission trips offered during spring break and at times during May term. These trips provide the opportunity to serve and to minister with a team of students in both national and international mission projects—often with life-changing results. Preparation includes instruction from mission experts, biblical and  cross-cultural training, team-building, and prayer and financial support-raising tools.
