Chrystal Ho Pao, PhD
Chrystal Ho Pao is assistant professor of Biology at Trinity College. She earned her Bachelor of Arts at the University of California-Berkeley and her PhD at Harvard University.
Dr. Ho Pao has served as a graduate-level teaching fellow at Harvard Medical School and as a postdoctoral fellow at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her research work on making and analyzing mouse models of human calcium-related diseases was described as "cutting edge ideas in the field." Her publications can be found in journals such as Science, Nature Genetics, Journal of Clinical Investigation, Journal of Neuroscience, Journal of Neurobiology, Journal of Cellular Physiology, Brain Research Bulletin, and NeuroReport. Dr. Ho Pao's publication record attests to the broad spectrum of her technical skills in human genetics, molecular biology, and biochemistry.
Her husband, Dr. David Pao, teaches New Testament at the Divinity School. Their twin daughters keep them entertained and grounded.
