Trinity College

Mission Trips

Maybe you don’t want to wait until you graduate to affect culture and the world around you. Maybe you’re ready to make a difference now. Join a ministry team and tutor inner-city children after school, assist teenage mothers, help local refugees, work on behalf of those with HIV/AIDS, or feed the hungry. Grow in your compassion as you build relationships in the communities around Trinity.

Even if you do not join a ministry team, you can still take advantage of one-time opportunities. Every year, many Trinity students choose to spend their fall, spring, winter, or summer break together on a mission trip. Whether you teach children in the Central American country of Belize or travel to New York City to work with a growing church, your experiences with new people and new cultures will be life-changing. More than one hundred students, staff, and faculty traveled from Trinity to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. In the Dominican Republic, Trinity’s football team has built a relationship with a village, where they’ve participated in construction projects and helped supply clean drinking water. Students take an annual winter break trip to India, where they assist in the work of the India Rural Evangelical Fellowship. Trinity’s Concert Choir and Symphonic Band regularly minister through music in churches throughout Europe and the United States. In partnership with the Zambian Ambassador to the United States, Trinity students spent their spring break serving those affected by HIV/AIDS in orphanages, hospices, and a clinic, while meeting with nongovernmental organizations and government leaders.
